BIC WEBINAR: How to Commercialize Your Biomarker Discovery

In this very interesting webinar, Valerie Daussin Laurent, the project leader of the BIC consortium, touches upon themes such as what is a biomarker invention and its (often bumpy) route from an invention to a product.

Valerie also introduces the viewer to the Biomarker Commercialization Tools, in particular the BIC Guide, which is a web-based tool that supports academic researchers, SMEs, and the technology transfer offices when developing an in-vitro diagnostic biomarker invention to a commercial product.

She concludes the webinar with a concrete biomarker commercialization case story with an unfortunate ending that showcases just how essential to success good supporting tools and knowledge of the whole commercialization process are.
